TOP TIPS FOR REVIVING YOUR ROSES
If the Rose neck looks bent and tired then re-cut the stems and immerse in a vase of tepid water.
After approximately 1 hour bunch the Roses together, then wrap the head and half the stem length in paper. This will keep the stems straight.
Place the stems back in the container of water and add flower food.
CARING FOR YOUR CUT FLOWERS
On purchasing your cut flowers follow the simple steps below to prolong their vase life and keep them looking lovely for longer!
+ Unwrap your cut flowers with care.
+ Remove any foliage that will be below the water level of your vase.
+ Re-cut the stems at an angle so they can take up the water more easily.
+ Add cut flower food to your vase of water.
+ Ideally keep your arranged flowers in a cool room away from direct sunlight and radiators.
+ Change the water in your vase once a week and remove any flowers that have faded.
+ Most importantly, enjoy your flowers!
ARRANGING YOUR FLOWERS AT HOME
Some top tips for placing your new flowers in your home:
Keep the flowers out of direct sunlight and make sure to change the water regularly.
Make sure your containers are clean and free of bacteria.
Why not try some different containers? Perhaps a teapot, cups and saucers, or even small bud vases.
Split the flowers up. Using just a couple of flowers in a smaller vase can give colour and fragrance to lots of places in your home.
Don't submerge hairy stems (e.g. Gerberas) in water. Re-cut the stems and keep just a little amount of water. If submerged the hairy stems will cling to bacteria and fade more quickly.
